Cob, Sr.   ~   First earthen building @ Pine Manor

Cob, Sr. is the the first earthen structure built in 1997. It is a delightful little building that has an internal half wall that houses a fireplace. This space can be used for meditation or massage, for poetry readings or small group meetings. It was a colaborative effort of many loving hands originally instructed by Ianto Evan and Linda Smiley of Cob Cottage in Oregon. Later, Tracey, Pat and Kit (all from Cobworks in Canada) worked on plastering projects that brought more finishing touches. It is still a work in progress, but very functional and inviting.

Michael Leach, Pine Manor's resident artist, brought a lot of artist touch to this building.  Above is the fireplace in Cob, Sr.
