The Earth Mama was in the creative mind of Michael Leach for a few years before she arrived in her earthen form.  At the 2008 September Art Fair, several people began helping Michael sculpt the Earthen Mama.  He had already created a straw bale base for her body and head.

The Earth Mama continued to evolve to her present form.  She is about 8 feet tall and 9 feet wide.   She is nestled under the trees close to the Round House  at the base of the Main House.



The Shamanic Studies group under the leadership of Gretchen McCay enjoy some time in the lap of mother earth, before continuing their retreat at Pine Manor.
