The Guest House is a hybrid earthen building consisting of one wall that is straw bale, one wall that is earth filled sand bags, and the short wall that is light clay. The Guest house has a tree growing through it. It has a lovely living roof. It is located at the entrance of Pine Manor. It is a very small structure that demonstates the use of several building methods. Preston Bell was our teacher. He inspired another graat group of people working together to create a building that looks like a tiny hobbit-like house. This building was done in 2003-2004.
