There are many sacred meditation spots at Pine Manor, but one of the favorite places to meditate is in the Round House. This straw bale building was built the week after 9/11—and perhaps the heartfelt connection that participants shared at that time added to the energy that is experienced in this building.
The round structure with a reciprocal roof that opens to the sky delights everyone who steps inside. Being able to look at the beautiful sky or the stars at night add to the experience of slowing down and experiencing your own breath. The depth of the walls help create a quiet and peaceful meditation space.
This building is also used as a meeting room and we have had some small groups that hold most of their meetings there because they love the space so much. There are other meditation spaces on the grounds, including Cob, Sr. and Cob, Jr. Other outdoor spaces are in the process of being created.
